2. What we collect

• Identification data you provide when booking or registering (name, email, phone, address, ID document when legally required).
• Booking details: dates of stay, number of guests, property selected, special requests.
• Payment data processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
• Technical data: IP address, device/browser information, basic analytics about how the site is used.
• Messages you send us through chat, email or WhatsApp.

3. Why we use it

• To create and manage your reservation and stay.
• To comply with local guest registration and tax obligations.
• To process payments, refunds and invoices.
• To communicate with you about your booking and respond to questions.
• To keep the service secure and prevent fraud.

4. Legal basis

We rely on performance of contract (your booking), legal obligation (guest registration, tax, accounting) and our legitimate interest in running and securing the service.

5. Sharing

We share data only with providers that help us run the service: payment processing (Stripe), hosting and database (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), email and messaging providers, and authorities when required by law. We never sell your data.

6. Retention

Booking and accounting records are kept for as long as required by law (typically up to 8 years). Other personal data is deleted when it is no longer needed.

7. Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal data, and object to processing. Write to hello@formerpub.life. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences, plus basic analytics to understand how the site is used.
